Eye Spy Club

Designed especially for children aged between 5 and 10 years old, Eye Spy tours are arranged around appealing themes to be entertaining and interactive for young art viewers

. When and where
The Eye Spy Club meets on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at 2 pm (February - November). Children, accompanied by an adult, meet at the front desk, North Terrace entrance. No bookings necessary. New members are always welcome. There is a one off fee of $5 per child to join the Club and receive an Eye Spy badge.

Hidden Secrets
Sometimes in works of art there are things that you might not see at first. Come on an Eye Spy trail and discover some ‘hidden secrets’ in the Gallery.

Culture Warriors
Come on a journey to discover some of the places and stories depicted in Contemporary Aboriginal artworks.

Misty Moderns
These fuzzy paintings reveal many things. What can you find through the mist?

Bums on Seats
Help Eye Spy guides J.A. and J.T. find all kinds of seats, from the totally uncomfortable to ones you would like to try as Goldilocks did in the Three Bears’ House.

Let’s revel in the Australian landscape by going on an Eye Spy trail to discover some of the beautiful parts of Australia where Sir Hans Heysen painted and drew.

Family Drop in Days
Family Drop in Days are usually held on the fourth Sunday of each month from 12 noon until 3 pm (February-November) There are always free art & craft activities for children aged 5-10 years. Children must be accompanied by an adult. No bookings necessary.

The Gallery's school holiday program is very popular with children. Activities are suitable for ages 5-10 years. Sessions are given by expert tutors. Bookings essential.

EYES ON Gallery Trails
Do It Yourself trails for the whole family to enjoy
Have fun and at the same time improve your observation skills by solving clues and searching for visual treasures. Collect an EYES ON trail from the North Terrace entrance or from the Information Desk in the West Wing.

Small Talk
Have you noticed our new labels yet? Have fun seeking out the brightly coloured labels located throughout the Gallery. Small Talk labels are the words of children and offer delightful observations and comments on some of the Gallery's most popular paintings.
