Egyptian Antiquities from the Louvre: Journey to the Afterlife
SYMPOSIUM PROGRAM

Saturday 31 March
1pm – 5pm

For thousands of years, religious belief in Egyptian society centred on the need to prepare for the afterlife. With the advent of death (a temporary interruption) the journey to the West commenced, with piety and lack of sin ensuring a safe path to the imagined nirvana of the afterlife. Our esteemed guest speakers will shine light on the mysteries of death and the afterlife in Ancient Egypt.
