The Contemporary Collectors group has been established to encourage a deeper understanding of contemporary art and to develop the permanent collection of the Art Gallery of South Australia. Contemporary Collectors raise funds to enable the Gallery to purchase art produced over the past decade from within Australia and internationally. Members are offered a program of activities and events, including visits to private collections, art fairs and festivals and talks by contemporary artists and curators. Member events

Membership of Contemporary Collectors provides a number of exclusive opportunities for members to meet collectors, curators and artists to learn about the world of contemporary art. Invitations are mailed direct to current Contemporary Collectors Members.

Eat Your Art Out
CC members can look forward to more Eat Your Art Out events in 2008 with access to private collections that will delight and surprise. Ticket price includes substantial cocktail food, wine and beer.
The next Eat Your Art Out event is Friday 19 September 2008 at a fabulous secret location. A Members only event.

Travel
The Contemporary Collectors travel program includes visits to art museums, special exhibitions, private collections and artists' studios. The program features personal contact with curators, leading authorities, collectors, and other noted personalities in the art world.
Contemporary Collectors has two tours planned for 2008 based around the Sydney Biennial and Melbourne Art Fair.

Annual Contribution

The Membership period is from July to June each year. Please email or telephone the CC Coordinator for your pro-rata contribution for NEW memberships.
