Art Gallery Restaurant

Since it opened in the new West Wing extensions in March 1996, the Art Gallery Restaurant has enjoyed a reputation for fine food and wines served in delightful surroundings. Facing onto the Art Gallery Sculpture courtyard and surrounded by works by Auguste Rodin and Australian painter Margaret Preston, the Art Gallery Restaurant is the perfect choice for an elegant lunch, morning coffee or afternoon tea.

pleasant dining... ...fantastic food

The Art Gallery Restaurant is managed by Adelaide based caterer, restaurateur, consultant, food historian and writer, Cath Kerry. Cath is well known for her work in setting up the now famous Petaluma Restaurant at the Bridgewater Mill in the Adelaide Hills. She has operated a very successful catering business looking after not only the Art Gallery of South Australia, but the Grand Prix Board, Cooper's Brewery, Writers' Week, Womadelaide, Gerard Industries and South Australia's many wineries.

Cath Kerry's strong interest in food is twinned with a passion for the visual arts. Her interest in the history of food and art enables the Restaurant to create and present an extraordinary menu which only enhances one's experience of the Art Gallery of South Australia.
