When you visit the Art Gallery of South Australia's wonderful collection of Australian Art, you will be able to borrow a hand-held digital audio tour which provides up to two-and-a-half hours of information on almost 100 Australian works in the collection.

Once you've collected an audio tour from the North Terrace desk, simply walk through the collection of  Australian art: where there are numbers displayed beside the works, key in that number and the  information   you will hear will help bring the works and displays to life.

This kind of audio tour system is very popular for touring exhibitions in Australia and overseas. We recommend it to you to develop a better understanding of the Gallery's outstanding collection of Australian Art. The audio tour is available from the attendant in the North Terrace vestibule. You will be requested to leave a deposit when you borrow the audio tour.

We suggest that you leave at least an hour to complete the tour and that the machines are returned promptly so others may use them (there are a limited number of audio units for visitors). At the conclusion of your visit, if you have enjoyed the audio tour, the Gallery asks that you make a contribution in the donation box which is adjacent to the desk. Visitors who have used this system previously at the Gallery have been delighted with it

This audio tour has been sponsored by the Gordon Darling Foundation
