Eat Your Art Out
In April, a spectacular art collection of one of our Contemporary Collectors was on display in a private home.  Guests enjoyed exquisite canapés, fine wines, good company and some exceptional contemporary works of art. 

Melbourne based artist Tony Garifalakis joined the Contemporary Collectors exclusively to attend the event and to discuss his works of art featured in the collection.

Drink in the Light Cocktail Party
The Drink in the Light Cocktail Party was a delightful evening of entertainment at the Gallery.  Special guest Ben Quilty engaged guests with a fascinating discussion on the techniques and underpinnings of his recent gift to the Gallery Evening Shadows, Rorschach after Johnstone , which was unveiled at the event. 

Director Nick Mitzevich facilitated a fascinating discussion between Ben Quilty and Jane Messenger, Co-curator of Turner from the Tate: The Making of a Master that delved into the contemporary nature of Turner's oeuvre.

Contemporary Collectors End of Year Event
Contemporary Collectors brought friends along to celebrate this final event for 2012.  Guests enjoyed a sumptuous dinner, followed by an engaging guest talk from artist James Dodd.  Limited edition prints by James Dodd and hand-printed tote bags by Fredrock were available to purchase on the night.  DJ JoD span the beats for the night while guests celebrated a year of great achievement for Contemporary Collectors.
