DARK HEART WORKSHOP for Primary and Secondary Teachers
Taking cues from the 2014 Adelaide Biennial of Australian Art: Dark Heart exhibition, artist / jeweller Lauren Simeoni leads innovative one-day workshops exploring contemporary practice through jewellery and object making. Following a guided session of the exhibition, participants will respond to artists’ works by transforming everyday materials to create unexpected sculptural forms.
Possibilities for making and responding in the classroom will be explored. Certificates provided (linked to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers).
