The Learning at the Gallery drawing workshop series extends senior secondary student learning with expert tuition provided by key South Australian visual artists in the areas of observation, composition, use of media, line, tone and proportion.

Do you have students who want to study and work in the Visual Arts?
Senior Secondary students and teachers gain a deeper understanding of the diversity of art careers through interactive presentations. Speakers include artists/designers and representatives from organisations including:
Art Gallery of South Australia
Adelaide Central School of Art
University of South Australia
Adelaide College of the Arts, TAFE SA
Creative Industries Centre, Tea Tree Gully, TAFE SA
Professional Learning certificates provided to Teacher participants (linked to the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers).
When: Friday 14 August, 11am - 2:30pm
Suitable: Years 10 - 12, individual student attendance welcome. Secondary, TRT and trainee teachers.
Venue: Radford Auditorium, Art Gallery of South Australia
Cost: Students $8, equity/country students $3. Teachers $15. Cash payment on the day.

Personalised Group Sessions for Teachers
Teaching sessions for school teachers R-SACE are available and are conducted by the Education Officer by arrangement.

Cultures – cultural identity, belief systems and traditions

Science – art and artists extending understanding of the changing earth, the cycles of life and living, the material world and relationships with nature
