FASHION HISTORY IN FOCUS WORKSHOP

Journey through 300 years of fashion with Rebecca Evans, Curator of Decorative Arts. Students chart the history of fashionable dress through rarely seen garments from the collection and focus on construction, manufacture and silhouette in drawing activities.

FASHION ILLUSTRATION WORKSHOPS

Extend learning with expert tuition provided in the areas of observation, composition, use of media, line, tone and proportion.

Workshops offer a unique opportunity for participants to learn by viewing and discussing a range of primary source works on paper from the Gallery’s permanent collection with the facilitating artist and peers and to then participate in creative drawing a mixed media illustration techniques referencing a fashion model.

Participating students have the opportunity to build their Visual Art and Design portfolios, as well as submit works for the Gallery’s Student Drawing Exhibition held during the SALA Festival in August 2018.

Individuals and class groups can register their interest.
