Awakening is a testimony to the extraordinary traditions of Buddhist art found throughout Asia and presents works of art from the three great schools of southern Theravada, northern Mahayana and Tantric Vajrayana Buddhism, including works of art from the Gallery’s collection and works held in private collections that have never before been seen in Adelaide.
