TIM SILVER: THE APPROACH
For Sydney based artist Tim Silver, time is the conceptual and material kernel of
his practice. Made from entropic materials, Silver’s sculptures usually begin dying the moment they
are born. They denounce the striving towards permanence that sculpture has historically embodied
and echo the human condition.By photographically articulating the passage of decay, each stage of
decomposition is rendered permanent.
