South Australian Living Artists Week
5 - 12 August 2001

 

South Australian Living Artists Week (SALA Week) celebrates the talent and imagination of artists living and working in South Australia with exhibitions and events presented at 138 venues throughout metropolitan and country South Australia and involving approximately 500 artists. Programs detailing exhibitions and venues are available from the Art Gallery.

The Art Gallery of South Australia hosts the official opening of South Australian Living Artists week on Sunday 5 August and will present a program of talks by local artists during the week. Throughout the Art Gallery, works by South Australian artists will be highlighted.

SALA is an initiative of the Australian Commercial Galleries Association and was established in 1998 to promote and celebrate the many talented artists that live in this state.
